I love Sigmas because: Sigmas bring a warm sense of sisterhood that is very welcoming and genuine. I am inspired by every sister and their confidence. You can see that each sister works hard and contributes their individual personality and skills to the organization. They drive me to be a strong woman who may also inspire others in the future.

I love Sigmas because: The connection that the sisters had with each other was something I genuinely looked up to. Each and every sister is confident, diligent, and dedicated; working hard to pursue their goals. When everyone gets together, it is always a fun and enjoyable time which are all aspects I admire and knew I wanted to be a part of.

I love Sigmas because: If I had to describe Sigma Psi Zeta in one word it would be a book. Each page belongs to one sister, a story or contribution that reinforces all together as one. Since each sister carries their own individuality and personality, it creates a whole sense of community and diversity that no one from the outside can experience; A world where support and liveliness strives is what I was compelled to about Sigma Psi Zeta. Without a doubt, it was specifically the people in this community that I loved.

I love Sigmas because: I like how the sisterhood is actually really genuine. You can tell that all the sisters really love and appreciate each other and I feel really comfortable with them. Sigmas is also filled with strong leaders who stand for their beliefs and those are the women that I want to surround myself with.

I love Sigmas because: I chose Sigmas because you can really tell that they empower other women and strive to be better. I want to be surrounded by strong women who help me grow and motivate me. Also, they all a bunch of goofballs rolling around.

I love Sigmas because: What drew me to Sigmas was the people. Before I came to Stony Brook I honestly knew nothing about greek life and was pretty certain that I was not born the type of person to be in a sorority, especially due to the stigmas surrounding fraternities and sororities. But attending rush events and getting to know the sisters made me come to terms with the saying “Never judge a book by its cover.” I knew that whatever organization I decide to choose had to be one where I felt comfortable and fit in. After attending rush events for various organizations, the dichotomy between Sigmas and the rest made me realize this can be my potential second home, if I take the initiative to make it.

I love Sigmas because: I’m a very independent person and I’m not the type of person to open up easily. For me, Sigmas provided me with an amazing support system of sisters who I could not only trust and confide in, but learn and grow from each unique individual sister. I love Sigmas because: From the start I was drawn in by their radiant, genuine energy and tightly-knit sisterhood. I’m inspired by how driven and hardworking every sister is, but I also love the moments where they goof around and have a good time whenever. It’s truly a gift and a privilege to be a part of a purpose that is so empowering and I know that this is something I will cherish forever.
